A hand woven Navaho blanket backed with a synthetic fur pile. In between these two layers is a high memory close cell foam rubber that can be removed to enable easy cleaning in a washing machine. It is extremely durable. A wide variety of colours are available and we can do custom colours and patterns. 12mm rubber is standard but other thicknesses are available.
The numnah is shaped to fit the contour of the horses back. Different shapes and sizes to accommodate different saddles are available. The numnah consists of three layers: the top layer is a cotton drill material; the center (under saddle bars) is a high density closed cell foam pad; the bottom (against the horse) is a synthetic fur pile. The numnah opens up enabling pads to be removed for machine washing. Attachment straps prevent slipping of numnah under the saddle. Various colours are available including: brown, black, red, green and blue. The weight is about 1kg.
